Creative i Wins Platinum at The International Summit's 'Marketing Effectiveness Awards'

Palo Alto, Calif., September 30, 2011 – It's fun to play games with your customers and prospects. Turns out it's profitable, too.

When network security powerhouse SonicWALL set out to expand its portfolio into the enterprise security space, it turned to Creative i for help.

Conducting secondary research into possible opportunities, Creative i discovered some rather counterintuitive data. Among other factoids: The higher you are in an organization – especially an IT organization – the more likely it is you play videogames. At your desk. During the workday.

Capitalizing on this insight, Creative i pitched a viral game, called The SonicWALL Network Security Challenge, that proved irresistible to legions of IT executives around the world, who pitted their reflexes against an onslaught of security threats (and against each other) in a social game environment.

So far, the game has been download 1.2 million times – and has resulted in some seriously well-qualified leads for SonicWALL.
